IJAMSVILLE - The youth of Ijamsville UMC decided to help the church raise enough money to purchase one net for each of the 90 members of their church to give to the Nothing But Nets campaign to help save a child's life in an African country.

In minutes after church, they collected $200 from the sale of baked goods they had prepared.

This inspired the faithful weekly church attendees (about 45), who donated $2,800. "This should be enough to purchase 300 nets which may provide protection for up to 1,200 people," said Larry Myers, the ad board chair. "Our pastor, Franklin Bishop, reminds us that we may never ever see the ones we have helped, but God does," Myers added.
