Youth director retires after 30 years

Posted by Bwcarchives on

WASHINGTON, DC - On June 17, Ned Bachman was honored for his 30 years of service as Foundry UMC?s junior high youth director. During the reception, many of those he mentored enjoyed the stories Bachman told. He reminisced about the games of sardines, humorous events that will always be remembered and the life-changing trips he attended with Appalachia Service Project.

Bachman will attend ASP this summer for his 12th year. He has touched and been touched by many of those experiences. ASP?s Executive Director, Susan Crow, joined the celebration as well as many past and present Foundry members who all wore buttons reading, 'Led by Ned.'

Bachman is an ordained elder on honorable location from the New York Annual Conference. The youth presented Bachman with an honorary Ph.D. and a scrapbook constructed by students and friends.
