Twitter is a tool in which people send out 140-character “tweets” to “followers.” This micro-blogging tool is made for making connections.

But what should you tweet about:

  • Personal thoughts and reflection about your church,
  • Events,
  • Replies – listen to people and the community and respond,
  • Announcements – if it’s interesting – tweet it,
  • Short biblical, spiritual reflections or devotions,
  • OH – things that are overheard,
  • Links to other media you create,
  • Shout outs to others who are doing interesting things.

Some churches encourage the congregation to tweet during the worship service, and pastors respond to questions about the sermon before the benediction is even heard.
