Volunteer honored by Strawbridge

NEW WINDSOR - Volunteer Dorothy M. Shindle was honored for her distinguished service at the annual meeting of the Strawbridge Shrine, where Methodism was born in America. On presenting the award, President Dan Hartzler spoke of her years as a volunteer with the United Methodist Historical Society and as Shrine board member since 1980. She has served as the association?s treasurer since 1998. Shindle joins a distinguished group of past honorees: the Rev. Edwin Schell of Baltimore, Myra Ensor of New Windsor, and the Rev. Arthur Thomas of Taneytown.
