COLUMBIA - Everyday lives around the world are touched by the gifts people in churches make to UMCOR. But those gifts, in the form of kits, are now in short supply.

The Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, La., UMCOR's relief supply warehouse, is appealing to churches across the nation to provide kits to meet the continuous demand on the supply.

"Sager Brown received fewer kits over the last year and stocks are becoming alarmingly low," said Michelle Scott of UMCOR's Communications office.

Especially needed are bedding, sewing and layette kits for Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia: 33,000 layette kits, 64,000 sewing kits and 1,000 bedding kits.

For details about the kits and how to send them, go to http://gbgm-umc.org/cumcor/getconnected/supplies. To contribute financially, make checks to your local church and mark for UMCOR, Advance #901440.
