The possibility of ministry

Throughout the Total Praise III: Gods Reality Call weekend, participants, clad in designer jeans, sneakers and T-shirts discussed the possibilities of ministry during cafeteria meals and impromptu gatherings in the seminarys courtyard.

During a late night ice cream social, Howard University junior Freda Henry commented on the worldly pitfalls of a Christian walk

Once everyone (on campus) knows youre a Christian, it feels like everyone is watching you, testing you, she said, which adds to the pressure of trying to live right. Henry, from Milwaukee, spends her summers working in the conferences Baltimore Saving Stations.

Adriane Blair, a Howard University chaplain, paired with Timothy Warner, conference Associate Council Director for Community and Economic Development, to facilitate a workshop on dating and relationships.

Blair, an attractive young adult with a flamboyant personality, said to the young women in the room, Yall know we know just how to walk to get a brothers attention, but nevertheless, Im not seductive in my attire. My draw is not in what I wear. My draw is how I exude the Jesus that lives in me.

Warner said, After we have sensed Gods call on our lives and God has made it clear what he wants from us to get us there, theres a covering on our lives called parents. A parents job is to represent God in your life.
