Teen Chat Spring is in the air, time to strut your stuff. Yes, its Holy Boldness time. Think of R. Kellys song, Worlds Greatest when you ponder this question: Whats the greatest thing about me, for all the world to see? | Scott Hill, 12 Salem UMC, Germantown My greatest thing is my sense of humor. I like to sneak up and scare my mother! I also play jokes on my friends. Lauren Manning,16 Albright Memorial UMC, Washington, D.C. Youth Service Fund chair I think being self-disciplined and focused are my greatest assets. I work hard to maintain very good grades at school with a heavy course load. So, I do think Im pretty good at managing my time enough to play in three bands, be editor of my school yearbook, active in JROTC, etc., and of course, I love my activities with Albright church and the Conference Council on Youth Ministries. Jennifer Ashcom, 13 Covenant UMC, Gaithersburg I think that the greatest thing about me for all the world to see is my creativity. I love to write stories about everything in this beautiful world that God has so graciously made for us and also in imaginative worlds that I think of in my head. I consider myself a very artistic person. Although, I dont have the prettiest voice, I write my own songs and I draw pictures. Caitlin Dorer, 17 Bel Air UMC President, CCYM Keeping in mind that Jeremiah 9:23-24 and 1 Corinthians 1:31 say to: Let him who boasts boast in the Lord, I think that the greatest thing about me is the fact that God saw fit to give me the spiritual gift of encouragement. I love to help people along in their struggles and Im devastated when they quit. Its a lot of fun to watch others take joy in something that they have succeeded in and its just so awesome to know that God has enabled me to play a part in their success. Charles Harris, 17 Wards Memorial UMC, Chesapeake Beach My personality. |
