Survey seeks Web use information The Baltimore-Washington Conference Communications Office is asking clergy and lay members to respond to an Internet survey to learn about their usage of and opinions about its Web site, www.bwcumc.net. The electronic survey will be distributed through the e-connection electronic news bulletin and will be available on the Web site for two weeks beginning Sept. 8. The e-survey is a first for the conference and is designed to help the Communications Office determine and address the needs and interests of actual and potential visitors to the Web site. Respondents can complete the brief survey in minutes on-line and returned it anonymously to the conference for analysis. A summary of the surveys findings will be posted to the website early in October. In addition to checking on Web site usage, the survey will invite comments on new interactive features being considered, including online submission of church reports, registration for events, online directories, discussion groups, bulletin boards and special sections for user groups. All church and conference members, and non-members, are encouraged to go on-line and complete the survey. For more information, contact John Coleman, WebConnection editor, at
