Students travel to Dominican Republic
BALTIMORE – Christ UMC of the Deaf partnered with Wesley Seminary and McDaniel College in January to take a deaf immersion class to the deaf schools in the Dominican Republic. Mark Rust, head of the deaf education department at McDaniel College and a member of Christ UMC Ballenger Creek in Frederick, with the Rev. Peggy Johnson, led the group (hearing and deaf students) to the Caribbean nation.
