Grant had suffered with primary pulmonary hypertension for 12 years as a victim of the drug "phen phen." She was one of only two women in Maryland who were affected by the condition, which takes two forms, one that damages the heart, and this more severe form.

Sally Grant was a devoted church member at the United Methodist churches her husband served from 1963 until his retirement in 2002. These included Emory, Lanham, Darlington, Fort Waugh, Street, Camp Chapel and Grace in Aberdeen. Grant, who is now retired, serves as a part-time assistant at Camp Chapel UMC. She was a life member of the United Methodist Women.

Before she had a family, Grant worked as a customer service representative for several banks. Her hobbies included basket making and ceramics, and she enjoyed many other crafts as well.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, sons Paul Douglas Grant of Bel Air, Andrew Lee Grant of Aberdeen; daughter Cindy Denise Grant of Belcamp; and three grandchildren.

Condolences may be sent to Rev. Paul Grant, 14 Rock Glen Road, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace UMC, 110 W. Bel Air Ave., Aberdeen, MD 21001 or Camp Chapel UMC, 5000 East Joppa Road, Perry Hall, MD 21228.
