Ross assumes new position at GBOD
COLUMBIA - The Rev. Vance Ross, a member of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, who has been associate general secretary of Leadership Ministries in the General Board of Discipleship in Nashville, has been promoted to a newly created position as deputy general secretary for External Connectional Relations and Strategic Initiatives.
It is the first time that the Board of Discipleship has had a deputy general secretary.
The position was created to "move quickly into effective partnerships with annual conferences, seminaries, racial ethnic caucuses and key leadership groups across the church," said the Rev. Karen Greenwaldt, GBOD's general secretary.
"Vance Ross has the vision and experience to lead us in these strategic partnerships," she added.
