Quilters warm up the kids
BEDINGTON, W. VA. - A group of more than 20 Bedington UMC churchwomen spend Wednesdays from January to March quilting. And then they give the quilts away. 'We probably make 125 quilts a year,' said Dana Phelps.
The intergenerational group, ranging in age from the late 30s to over 80, completed 50 quilts for Christmas for all the children at the Falling Waters campus of the Board of Child Care. They keep the children?s facility supplied whenever there?s a need.
