COLUMBIA - Martha Knight, conference treasurer, was elected to the Executive Committee of the National Association of Annual Conference Treasurers, and will represent the North East Jurisdiction on the leadership team.

COLUMBIA - The Baltimore-Washington Conference Endowed Scholarship in honor of retired Bishop Joseph H. Yeakel has named two recipients for the 2007-2008 academic year.

Kikunguru Prince Sankulu of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Luis Agostinho Dias dos Santos of Angola are both scholars in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Africa University.
