OXON HILL - St. Paul UMC, thought to be the oldest African-American congregation in the conference, celebrated its 216th anniversary with a week of activities on the theme 'Moving Forward with Christ.' The celebration ended with a revival and 'Everybody's Birthday Party,' with tables laden with food typical of each month of the year.
St. Paul?s stands on 'a precipice of a great new day for Christ,' said Elaine Faison, chairperson of the communications committee.
