Obituaries - September 7, 2013 - Sharon Beecham
Sharon Leela Rohan Singh was born Dec. 26, 1929, in India, the daughter of a Methodist minister. There she and Noel Beecham, born in New Delhi in a strongly Christian family, married in 1965. They came to the United States in 1969 where he studied theology at Howard University School of Religion and received his Master of Divinity Degree. He received a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University in 1984.
Noel Beecham was appointed to Christ UMC in Aquasco in 1975, ordained an Elder in 1977, and appointed to Metropolitan UMC in Indian Head from 1979 to 1986, when he was appointed to the Prince Frederick Charge. He retired in 1996 after being on disability leave for five years. He died in 2002.
Survivors include a son, Alexander Ajay Beecham of Loma Linda, Calif.
Sharon Beecham, wife of the late Rev. Noel Beecham, died Sept. 7, 2013, in Loma Linda, Cal. A memorial service was held at Adams Funeral Home in Aquasco Sept. 20.
