Obituaries - November 7, 2010 - Sarah Condra Munney
Sarah Condra Munney, 90, the wife of the late Rev. Edward S. Munney, died in the Florence Nursing and Care Center in Warrenton, Mo., Nov. 7. A funeral was held in Warrenton Nov. 11.
She married Edward Munney in 1951 in Nashville, Tenn. They had three children.
He entered the ministry nearly 20 years after their marriage, and served at Shiloh UMC in Bryans Road for seven years. They then moved to Stone Chapel in Pikesville and served there for nine years until he retired in 1989. At that time, they moved to Warrenton, Mo., to be near a daughter. He died in 2004 after 53 years of marriage.
Sarah Munney was a secretary for the AFL-CIO in Maryland. She was also a member of the DAR, the American Legion Auxiliary, and in Missouri, the Smith Creek UMC in Warrenton.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, John and Eddie.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois Amelia Carey, and four grandchildren.
