News from Across the Conference: UMConnection wins awards
COLUMBIA ? The conference newspaper, the UMConnection, and associate editor Melissa Lauber were awarded honorable mentions in the 'Best in Class' at the April 26 Associated Church Press annual meeting. They were among 21 United Methodist writers, editors and publications that were honored.
The 2004 UMConnections submitted were the issues of Jan. 21, Aug. 18 and Dec. 1.
Lauber's editorial columns that received the award appeared in the April 7, June 29 and Dec. 20 issues.
Associated Church Press includes 150 Christian, ecumenical or interfaith periodicals throughout the world.
