GALESVILLE ? The congregation of Galesville UMC worshiped with Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church on July 31, to celebrate the black church?s 125th anniversary. Ebenezer was the first church in Galesville.

BALTIMORE ? In late June, John Wesley UMC, in response to a request from the conference, sent four care packages containing toiletries, envelopes, pens, pencils, batteries and non-perishable snacks to Iraq through the Rev. Willie Caraballo-Lopez and the Rev. Will Butler, conference Elders.

HIGHLAND ? Mount Zion UMC increased Vacation Bible School from last year?s 160 children to 200 children this year, served by 90 teachers and assistants. The Rev. Tom Connar attributes the increase to 'a new six room addition that was completed last September.'

BALTIMORE ? Anne Perry is the new marketing director for The Wesley, a United Methodist elder care community located in Mt. Washington, founded in 1867. She began her duties in mid-July.
