Flocked

HAGERSTOWN ? It?s a wonder Cumberland-Hagerstown District Superintendent the Rev. John Rudisill didn?t hear the squawking in his front yard. It was filled with pink flamingoes.

All in good fun, the Grace UMC?s Teens for Christ Sunday school class chased the birds onto his lawn as part of their fund-raising efforts to make money for ROCK 2006.

Flamingo insurance is offered
to keep the birds off the lawn, or members can pay to have someone else ?flocked.? Rudisill?s flamingoes were compliments of his mother, Ruby Sheffer.

Sara Carr is seen here making friends with a 19-foot giant pink that appeared in the yard of Grace?s pastor, the Rev. Clark Carr. Reports indicate that the flamingoes will stay, and continue to increase, until they migrate on or about Aug. 19.
