New finance leaders announced
Martha Sherman Knight was recently named Director of Finance and Administration for the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Pier McPayten is now Conference Treasurer.
The pair have held these positions in an interim status since September.
Knight, who has more than 25 years of business management experience, served as the conferences associate financial officer for administrative service since 1997.
Prior to that she directed information systems and oversaw facilities management for the Personal Communications Industry Association in Alexandria, Va., where she began working in 1981.
McPayten, who has worked at the conference since 2000, has a professional background as a certified public accountant. She was previously employed by Adventist Senior Living Services.
The conference changed its administrative structure to allow for the creation of the director of finance and administration position.
