Mississippi service: bishops respond to Hurricane Katrina
Bishop John R. Schol presents a $20,000 check from the Baltimore-Washington Conference to Bishop Hope Ward, leader of the Mississippi Conference, for hurricane relief efforts. Bishop Schol was one of seven bishops helping on this trip. He stands in front of one of 20 churches destroyed in Mississippi. To contribute to the Bishop?s Appeal to assist hurricane victims, send checks made payable to Conference Treasurer to 7178 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite D, Columbia, MD 21046. In the memo portion of the check, write Bishops? Appeal #818-001.
