COLUMBIA - It?s time to apply for the next round of Igniting Ministries matching grants. Each year United Methodist Communications, based in Nashville, Tenn., offers $1 million in matching funds to local churches, districts and conferences to help establish an advertising presence in their community. Matching funds can be used for placing ads on television, radio, cinema, outdoor media or a combination of these media types.

Grant applications are accepted three times a year for media placed in coordination with the national cable TV schedule: Lent, Back-to-school and Advent. It?s time now to apply for the Back-to-school and Advent rounds, which will be accepted May 1 to June 6.
