Media grants approved for Calvary UMC

ANNAPOLIS ? Calvary UMC has been approved for two grants from Igniting Ministry for a media buy for radio advertising. The Rev. Adam Snell received the approval letter for the Back-to-School matching fund, and the ads began in late August.

The commercials, airing on cable TV, are titled 'I Believe' and 'Prayer.' They showcase the acceptance and inclusiveness of The United Methodist Church.

Calvary also received approval for a radio media buy for the Advent season. The $600 grants from Igniting Ministry are contingent on an equal match from the church.

Churches may apply for a matching grant for media buys for Lent 2007 between Nov. 1 and Dec. 1. See www.Igniting Ministry.org.
