BALTIMORE ? Suni K. Johnson, conference archives and history director, who many know from trips to the museum and sanctuary of Lovely Lane UMC, has moved on. She is now the archivist at the new Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies on the campus of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W. Va.

When her old boss, Ray Smock, ex-historian of the House of Representatives, offered her the position, he also offered her husband, David Hostetter, a position at the university. 'I am looking forward to the new challenges I will face with the Byrd papers and the chance to work together with my husband,' Johnson said. '(The offer) was not one either of us could turn down.' Until a new director is hired, Wanda Hall, formerly Johnson's assistant, will 'hold down the ship.'
