Lay speaker publishes book
BALTIMORE - St. Matthews UMC is the venue for a release and book signing party Feb. 23. J. Ezax Smith, former lay leader and lay speaker at St. Matthews, will launch "Pillars of Life," his first book. It is "a book of courage and hope; it bears personal testimonies, backed by biblical precepts you will find helpful in identifying basic support systems within your reach," a promotional flier says.
