MAYO – Mayo UMC’s youth director, Tim Williams, is also the assistant soccer coach at South River High School. This summer he put his talents to use by running two-hour soccer camps for a week for children in the community.

The camps were divided by ages, the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten met for one week of practices, and the first and second grades at a different week. Older age groups were also scheduled. High school students helped out on the playing field, located at the local Kiwanis Hall.

The church provided the balls, goal nets, water jugs and treats and the children paid $30 for the week.
