Journal reports due by Jan. 31

Conference committees, boards and agencies are encouraged to submit their annual reports to the conference secretary by Jan. 31 for publication in the Pre-conference report.

The Conference Journal is the historic record of the life and actions of the Baltimore-Washington Conference.

All annual reports from conference boards, commissions, committees and agencies, which will be published in the Pre-Conference Booklet and addressed at the June session of annual conference, must be submitted by Jan. 31.

All resolutions to annual conference, from groups or individuals, and all recommendations from boards, commissions and committees should be submitted to the conference secretary by Feb. 15.

According to the conference rules:

“All recommendations on which Conference action is required shall be clearly identified and grouped at the conclusion of each report under the heading “Recommendation(s)” or “Action Items” and numbered consecutively.

In addition, each resolution shall address a single issue. The rules say that each resolution should not exceed 500 words in length.

The resolutions will be considered by the conference Connectional Table when it meets on Feb. 28.

The Pre-Conference Booklet will be mailed to annual conference members before the pre-conference briefings April 25.

The annual conference session will be held on June 4-6 in Baltimore.
