As of March 20, the unpaid pension and medical benefits of local churches in the Baltimore-Washington Confernece is $303,248. Clergy pension and medical pay­ments are mandatory expenses that the conference must pay to the General Board of Pensions each month. When one church doesn’t pay its share, the balance must be picked up by others. It is essential, conference leaders stress, for the health of the conference that each and every church pay their commitments in full.

The Conference Board of Pensions would like to thank the churches, pastors, Guides and administrators for their leadership and follow through with this matter.
