GAITHERSBURG ? Delbert and Bernice Foster, members of Epworth UMC, were inducted into the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame this fall. They received the Geri Award, an honor sometimes referred to as the 'geriatric Nobel Prize for extraordinary humanitarian community service,' reported the Montgomery Village Gazette.

'I don't feel much older than 16,' Bernice Foster said. 'We have an interest in everything.'

The pair has been married 66 years and have traveled the world together.
The Fosters have also been honored as Citizens of the Year in Gaithersburg, and saluted by the Lions Club, the Masons and the church, where Delbert is known for his homemade fudge and Bernice for her lemon pound cake. The church has named a scholarship program for them.
