Churches observe big anniversaries
Among the churches holding major anniversaries this fall are:
JESSUP- Asbury UMC celebrated its 140th anniversary Sept. 8 with guest speaker the Rev. William B. McClain.
PERRY HALL - Coming up Oct. 14, Camp Chapel UMC will celebrate 200 years as a
serving congregation in the community.
BALTIMORE - Ames UMC will also observe an anniversary Oct. 14 ? its 150th.
MARTINSBURG - Mt. Wesley UMC will celebrate its 175th anniversary Oct. 8.
BALTIMORE - On a different note, Sept. 23, Hiss UMC celebrated 10 years of its contemporary service, which began with 10 people and now has more than 100 attending each week. It is the fastest growing service at the church.
