Churches can pay apportionments online
In a move to improve upon its missin to be faithful stewards of God's gifts, the Baltimore-Washington Conference has implemented a new system for computerized giving.
Through Gateway, churches are now able to make medical, pension and apportionment payments using the online automatic clearinghouse process.
During the first week this process was in place in mid-June, 60 churches submitted more than $200,000 to the conference electronically.
Instructions on how to use the new system were sent to each church and are also posted on the Conference Web site.
