Church supports troops with cards
RAWLINGS -Rawlings UMC, one of three churches that make up the Potomac Valley Parish, recently received honors for a Christmas activity.
The church received a certificate from Friends of Our Troops as 'the number one church in Maryland' for sending Christmas cards to troops around the world. They sent 573 cards through the organization.
'What an honor for our very first year of joining in this ministry,' wrote Bobbi Gares, editor of the church newsletter.
