The Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli, assisted by Grant and Kyle Wood, presents Inspector Andrews Solberg with a giant valentine

WASHINGTON, D.C. - For the sixth consecutive year, the women of Capitol Hill UMC gave special treats to the police in their local precinct for Valentines Day.

Station commander, Inspector Andrew Solberg, personally escorted the group to the station house. They presented him with a 30-inch valentine covered in candy LifeSavers made by the children's Sunday school class. The valentine said, 'A heart full of LifeSavers for our neighborhood lifesavers.'

'Every day you have a difficult and dangerous job to do and you do it with excellence,' said the Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli. 'Please know we hold you in our prayers.'
