FORK ? The Fork UMC choir was more than twice its usual size Feb. 6. The choristers, joined by members of Waugh UMC and Towson University, had come to sing special anthems at the dedication of the church's new Allen organ. They had a good audience, as the congregation, which had raised the $32,000 needed for the organ in just five months, came out in full force to hear the music. A guest organist, Bob Muckenfuss, who plays regularly at Linden Heights UMC, performed solo, giving the congregation a good listen to the new instrument. He and Gary Van Essen, the church organist and music director, played an organ-piano duet. |
