Church holds baccalaureate service
OLNEY - Approximately 35 graduating seniors with their families attended a baccalaureate service at Oakdale-Emory UMC. Allison Sarracino and the church?s youth leadership organized the event specifically for them.
We wanted 'to send all our seniors off with prayer and God?s word,' said Becki Price.
David Burke challenged the graduates to not forget God and to trust God in all things. He even drew a little on Dr. Seuss?s 'Oh, the Places You?ll Go.'
Katie Boss, a Sherwood High School graduate, provided the music with her singing and guitar. Other seniors read Scripture and participated in other parts of the service.
