Church cluster awards scholarships
GLEN BURNIE – Churches United for Christ, made up of 10 Anne Arundel County churches, including six United Methodist, awarded three $750 scholarships to enable students to continue their educational pursuits.
The recipients included two United Methodists, Krystle Allen, a junior at Morgan State and member of Asbury-Broadneck UMC, and Angelo Archie, a freshman at Chesapeake College and member of Metropolitan UMC in Severn.
The participating United Methodist churches are Asbury-Broadneck, Asbury-Town Neck, Hall, John Wesley in Glen Burnie, Mt. Calvary in Arnold and Metropolitan in Severn.
