Church breaks ground for expansion

Posted by Bwcarchives on

UPPER FALLS - It took five years of planning and two stewardship campaigns to raise the $900,000 needed for Salem UMC to break ground for a kitchen and fellowship hall Oct. 29, said the Rev. Cliff Webner. 'I just kept saying ?We need to work together following God?s lead.?'

Following the morning service, the pastor led the 150 congregants out the front door and around to the worksite. Building Committee chairman, Ralph Quinn, sang 'Bless this House' as part of the groundbreaking service.
