Choir members sing at the Vatican
ELLICOTT CITY ? Singers from Bethany UMC?s choir and Mount Hebron High School combined together to form the Ellicott City Chorale, which left June 22 on a 12-day six-concert tour of Austria and Italy.
The tour included appearances at Salzburger Dom in Salzburg, the 5 p.m. Mass June 30 at the Vatican, and the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral in Florence. They also sang at churches in Venice, Rome and Pisa.
The group celebrated Mozart?s 200th birthday by exploring sites in Salzburg and by singing his 'Ave Verum,' reported the Baltimore Sun.
