The Baltimore-Washington Conference is among the frontrunners in paying apportionments to the denomination. As of July 31, the General Council on Finance and Administration reported, the conference paid 58 percent, or $2,132,765 of its
apportionment to enable ministry and mission throughout the world. This makes it one of the highest givers to date.

Bishop John Schol hailed the leadership of conference pastors and congregation as “commendable, setting an example for what we want to be for the
denomination.”

Conference leaders are also praising local churches for their
faithfulness.

As of July 31, apportionments received totaled $7,428,485, which is only $52,939, or less than one percent, under the July year-to-date budget. “This is a fantastic result in light of the current financial pressures faced by many of our congregations,” said Charlie Moore, president of the
conference CFA.
