PARKVILLE ? The 195th meeting of the Maryland Bible Society's Board of Directors was held at Hiss UMC April 21 with 35 in attendance.

Cricket Barrazotto, Northeast Director for the International Bible Society, spoke about the Reach 4 Life Project in South Africa. She said that the Bible Society has put together a special New Testament for young people in South Africa, which includes help to enable young people to discuss the moral challenges of living in a time of the great AIDS epidemic in that country, reported the Rev. Ray Moreland, the society's executive director.

The society has placed 400 of these New Testaments in the hands of school age children and youth. 'Because Muslims respect Jesus as a great prophet and also read the Gospels,' Barrazotto said, 'many Muslim young people have asked for this special New Testament.'
