A sanctuary to call their own
FREDERICK ? For nearly 10 years Christ-Ballenger Creek UMC has worshiped in the school building next door to the old church. But the congregation broke ground July 30 for a new sanctuary being built adjacent to the education building, reported Dave Jarvis, the church?s lay leader.
District Superintendent T.R. Chattin charged the members to remember, 'This is the house of God. You are the household of God.'
The $1.4 million sanctuary is expected to be ready for occupancy next May.
