How do I connect to the hotel’s wireless connection?

  1. Check for any available wireless network.
  2. Connect to MARRIOTT CONFERENCE.
  3. Launch a web browser.
  4. When prompted, enter the conference code – AC2017.

There are a lot of people here. Where are the best seats?

Please find the seat that best suits you, moving toward the center of the rows as possible. Visitors are encouraged to sit in the balcony to ensure there is space for voting members.

Will we be using hand-held voting machines?

Yes, a numbered voting machine will be given to lay and clergy members at registration. Clergy members will use them during the clergy session. They will also be used for voting on Thursday. The machines will be collected after Thursday’s plenary session. If you leave before then, please make sure you return your machine.

Is this being live streamed?

Yes, your friends, family and congregation can watch the plenary sessions and worship service, from wherever they are, on the Conference website homepage.

Where is the Prayer Room?

Before annual conference, the BWC’s United Methodist Men covered the meeting space in prayer. During the session, they will make a space available for prayer and reflection in Room 8229.

What about this online Conference devotional I’ve heard so much about?

View this exceptional collection of meditations and resources on the living parables of John, titled “Mosaics” online.

What’s the Penny Challenge?

The change collected in this district challenge will benefit the Adrienne Terry Fund for Affordable Housing. Submit your pennies in the jar of your favorite district. Each penny is worth a point. Put silver coins in your competitors’ jars to take away their points. Help “change the world” outside the main doors of the Exhibit Area. Learn more.
