New overtime rule may mean church changes

A new federal rule that will increase the number of U.S. workers eligible for overtime pay will affect church employees. The change, which goes into effect Dec. 1, means more salaried workers can earn time-and-a-half wages when they work more than 40 hours a week.

Trinity UMC of Germantown celebrated its 150th anniversary on Sept. 25, 2016. Trinity marked this milestone by completing 150 days of prayer for Germantown, completing more than 1,500 hours of community service, and collecting more than 1,500 pounds of food for Germantown HELP.
