The workshop C.A.L.L.E.D., (Challenging And Leading Laity Every Day) sponsored by the Cumberland-Hagerstown District, will be held Nov. 6, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Otterbein UMC at 108 E. Franklin Street in Hagerstown. 

 The church is filled with diverse people of all ages searching for a deeper spiritual meaning to life, but not all feel "called" to be involved.  How are you calling them to the tasks of the church?  What is the biblical process of call and how can your church and the various committees use it to accomplish Kingdom work?  This session will introduce you to the basic concept and explain its use in calling individuals to ministry positions.  The session will also help you understand how to sustain their participation and encourage their growth.

The workshop is led by Cindy Reeder, a member of the Benevola UMC near Boonsboro. Her entire professional life has been to work with non-profit organizations, encouraging member participation and growth. For 28 years, Cindy served as a full-time, non-clergy staff member for two different denominations.
