Bishop’s Day on the Washington East District Postponed!

The bishop’s time with the Washington-East District has been postponed, but I am asking you to continue to hold the date (November 14). Bishop LaTrelle Easterling received last minute notice that she is being honored by the national Rainbow Coalition with their Trombone Award, and we have asked that she reschedule her time with us so that she can receive the award in person on Nov. 14.  I know that we’ll all want to keep the bishop and her ministry among us in prayer, and we’ll be in touch with you soon about the new time and place to meet with Bishop Easterling.

So WHY save the date?  We already planned to gather together, and I am now hoping to use the opportunity to host a community gathering to discern faithful responses to painful events unfolding around us in neighborhoods, churches, and homes.  We will provide more details as soon as possible.  Remember, we are one:  connected in covenant. Together, we work to bring glory to God in our churches and communities.
