Holy Land Interest Group to Meet on Tuesday, July 9, 2019
Have you ever wanted to visit the Holy Land? Would you like to journey to the places where Jesus walked, talked and ministered? Have you ever wanted to share in the world of Jesus birth, ministry, death and resurrection? If so, I invite you to come with me on an eight-day journey to the Holy Land. We will depart on February 18, 2020 and return on February 25, 2020.
During this time we will spend time in Bethlehem, Kasr el Yehud (the site of Jesus's Baptism), the Galilee (with a boat ride on the lake), Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Magdala, Jerusalem, the Upper Room, Temple Mount, the Western Wall, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Kidron Valley, Pool of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Garden Tomb. This journey brings the Bible and the ministry of Jesus alive. The cost of the journey is $2,796 with departure from Baltimore (BWI). It promises to be an exciting trip with amazing people.
On Tuesday evening, July 9th, at 7:00 pm, there will be an interest and information meeting at Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church, 4622 Scrabble Road, Shepherdstown, WV 2544.
At time, Pastor Dawn Reidy and Dr. Terrence Reidy will be present to share slides and memories of their recent journey to the Holy Land. Pastor Dawn, a student at Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Harrisonburg, VA, and Dr. Reedy, spent three weeks on a study tour and will be present to share their experiences, reflect on the Holy Land and answer practical questions. I encourage you to be present, to share with Pastor Dawn and Dr. Reidy, learn about this amazing journey and meet others who will be traveling with us.
