Prayers of the People

We give thanks for the many churches sending people out on mission trips this summer. We especially lift up Nichols-Bethel UMC in Odenton. Their Chesapeake Bay Workcamp 2019 was in planning for two years and hosted 255 youth and adults from 12 youth groups across 9 states, who worked painting, building porches and doing carpentry repairs at 26 sites, tallying up 7,650 community service hours. As a cosponsor, Nichols-Bethel provides about $25,000 for materials, which is raised through corporate sponsors, fundraising events, and individual donations.

Listening ... Connecting ... Learning...

All for the sake of Living Your Call

The call sometimes begins with a just a whisper; a nudge from God. Where do we turn for clarity? If you are sensing a call to set-apart ministry, we invite you to come and discover that you are not alone. If you are a pastor or ministry leader who offers guidance to others, we invite you to bring someone who wants to move forward in the journey.

Learn more about the practical steps to consecrated, licensed or ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church at the Living Your Call Summit Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mission Center. Learn more and register.
