Prayers of the People
Clergy appointments are being announced. We pray for Bishop LaTrelle Easterling, the Cabinet, and all those who are appointed to new ministries in the coming year. See the appointments. Recently, appointments, which take affect July 1, have been finalized for the Cabinet. The Rev. Rebecca Iannicelli will become superintendent of the Annapolis District and Dean of the Cabinet. The Rev. Johnsie Cogman will serve as superintendent of the Washington East District and the Rev. John Wunderlich will be the Cumberland-Hagerstown District Superintendent.
Thank you, to all who came to celebrate…
Dear Annapolis District,
On behalf of the Dr. Young, the District office, the District Super-Intendency Committee and Retreat and Camping Ministries, Dr. Young would like to thank you for the recent donation toward the Campership Fund in honor of District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Evan Young’s retirement.
For the last seven years, Dr. Young had the pleasure of serving as superintendent. Together, we have faithfully tried to serve our mission fields to reach others for Jesus Christ. We became partners, honoring God through our service and witness. We have prayed, learned, served, laughed, and even at times cried together. We became family and modeled Christian community beneath the cross. Dr. Young, and district thanks you for your prayers and support over the years for him and his family.
The strength of this ministry is really the countless volunteers within the district, dedicated staff, trusting families, and supportive colleagues who see the excitement of the fun, the bond of friendships and the growth of faith in every person involved in the church under the Baltimore-Washington Conference.
Dr. Young begins a new season of service at Discipleship Ministries, a general agency of the denomination, in Nashville, TN. We wish him and Donna all the very best as they embark on their new journey to Nashville.
We thank you for celebrating all the good works that God has done through, Dr. Young and look forward to wonderful gifts that God will use Dr. Rebecca Iannicelli to bring into the ministry of the Annapolis District.
Peace and Grace to you,
Your Annapolis District Team

Annapolis District Lay Servant Academy
Lay Servants are to serve the local church or charge in any way in which their witness or leadership and service inspires the laity to deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. This includes the interpretation of scriptures, doctrine, organization, and ministries of the church. While one doesn't have to be certified to serve, there are opportunities for those who feel called to become Certified Lay Servants, Certified Lay Speakers or Certified Lay Ministers. One of the strengths of our connectional system is the trainings we offer.
The classes offered may be taken by anyone: member of a congregation, local church leader, or lay servant. All class offerings except Introduction to Lay Servant Ministries: The Basic Course may be used as a re-certification class for Certified Lay Servants, Certified Lay Speakers and Certified Lay Ministers.
You may attend classes outside of your district, based on your own needs.
Course Fee: $35
