The mission of the Baltimore-Washington Conference is to inspire and equip local faith communities to develop disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world so that more transformed lives transform lives. Toward that end, under the leadership of Bishop LaTrelle Miller Easterling, the leaders and staff of the Annual Conference are committing to support 100% of our congregations becoming 100% vital and thriving through:

1. Strategic Missional Action Planning with Conference (cMAP), District (dMAP) and Local  (iMAP) Teams
2. Four Congregational Development Pathways including Launch, Catalyst, Readiness and Legacy Conversations Initiatives 
3. We Rise United to Build Beloved Community which includes the goals of the NEJ Call to Action 
4. And our 5 foci which sit upon the intention and structure of the denominational foci
   1. Leader Development
   2. New Faith Expressions
   3. Advocacy and Action 
   4. Wellness and Missions
   5. Young People's Ministries
